food, games, and championships

The past weekend proved to be a good one.

Friday was spent doing who knows what, because of course I can't remember that far back. I'm sure it was a nice, relaxing day because I didn't have work.

Saturday, Taylor and I decided we want to do some grilling. We used a yummy shrimp recipe for our main entree. While she prepared the shrimp, I prepared the grill and then started making some margaritas. I decided that I wanted to go fresh — no margarita mix. That involved buying a dozen lemons and limes and squeezing them all into a pitcher. Next came a full bottle of tequila, some triple sec, and a bit of simple syrup mixed together with some ice. It was really good. Everyone claimed it was a bit strong but I thoroughly enjoyed it... a bit too much even.

Once we got the shrimp on the grill, Taylor cut up some fruits (watermelon, pineapples, mangoes, and peaches), topped them with cinnamon sugar and skewered those as well. Once the shrimp were done, we threw the fruit on the grill. Sadly, the grill wasn't quite hot enough at that point to do anything but warm up the fruit, but they were still good.

The remainder of the night, I enjoyed Margaritas while playing Scattergories with Taylor, Andy, and Kelcey. Maybe I was a bit drunk, but I kept coming in last place by a lot. I don't get it.

Sunday, of course I was hungover. Not terribly, but I definitely needed some water and rest. By the end of the day I was more or less ready for Game 6 of the Mavericks vs. Heat. That game was awesome and was a great conclusion to a great and fun to watch series. I was really happy to see Dirk finally get a championship. He really deserves one.

You know who's a little bitch? LeBron James. I don't think he realizes just how cocky he is, because his press conference at the end of the game was a bit ridiculous.

I have 5 meetings at work today. I think that's a personal best (worst?). See ya later.
